This article includes detailed information about farms in Tyrol, as a follow-up to the main article on recommended accommodations in Tyrol.

It is important to remember that during the summer months, the demand for the farms on the list below is very high, so you need to be quick and book well in advance (preferably even before Christmas for a planned summer trip). If the most recommended places are already booked, don’t worry, Tyrol is a very large region and there are many other farms located throughout this area. You can use the focused list of holiday farms in the Tyrol region on Booking.com (we have already added the necessary filters so you can focus on the most suitable holiday farms for a family trip in this wonderful region).

Farms in Tyrol – Recommended Places

One of the unique experiences of a trip to Austria is visiting and staying on a local farm. A farm visit is a great opportunity to get to know the rural way of life, stay in the heart of nature, and come into contact with a variety of animals in a pleasant and safe environment. This experience is very suitable for families with children who want to connect with nature.

We have compiled a list of several farms in Tyrol based on travelers’ recommendations:

1. Nockhof

This farm is located in the Innsbruck area. Around the farm, you will see an incredible landscape, lots of very friendly farm animals, a very nice hostess, an excellent breakfast, and indoor/outdoor play areas for children.

2. Marteshof

The farm is located on the outskirts of the village of Wenns in the Pitztal valley. A favorite place for families with young children.

The hosts are exceptionally nice, the room itself is very clean and equipped with everything you can think of, including Nespresso machine capsules and special dishes for children. The farm is stunning and has play facilities, goats, chickens, rabbits, ponies, and a small stream running through it. There is an amazing indoor playroom with every game you can think of for all ages. It seems they have thought of everything down to the smallest detail. Every day you can pet and feed the animals and also ride ponies – by arrangement with the owners and at no extra charge. In the room itself, there is a small table for children with two chairs, a stool in the bathroom so they can reach the sink, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more.
