The Hiking Trail – Rappenloch Canyon and Staufensee Lake
The hiking trail in the Rappenloch canyon begins on the outskirts of the city of Dornbirn. After a short walk from the parking lot to the canyon entrance, a wonderful trail begins on wooden bridges attached to the large rock walls. After a moderate ascent inside the canyon, you reach Staufensee lake and continue walking around it. At the end of the lake is the Ebensand power station, which was established back in the 19th century.
The way back is on the same trail inside the canyon until you return to the point where you started the walk. Along the trail, there are several small huts where you can stop and buy some snacks and drinks and enjoy the view.
