Across Vienna, you’ll find entertainment venues to suit every taste, from dark and wild spots to the most elegant places. The electronic music scene is especially strong in Vienna, making it a great destination for fans of the genre, but of course, there’s a selection for lovers of other styles too!
Entertainment areas include the Schwedenplatz area, known as the Bermuda Triangle, the Danube Canal area, Ring Street, the Museum Quarter area, and Gürtel Street. Each of these areas offers a variety of entertainment options, so you can easily combine several places without having to travel far across the city.
Around Ring Street, you’ll find elegant, well-known clubs like Volksgarten, Platzhirsch, and Disco the Club. If you head to the Danube Canal area, you can discover wilder places like Grelle Forelle, Werk, or Flex. And in the Prater Park area, there are several popular spots such as Pratersauna, Praterdome, and Fluc.
For those who want to explore nightlife outside the city center, Gürtel Street is the place to be. Here, beneath the U6 train tracks, you’ll find plenty of bars and dance clubs. The most famous among them are:
- Chelsea
- B72
- Rhiz
Getting to this area is easy since the bars are right next to the subway stations. The relevant stations are:
- Währinger Straße – Volksoper
- Josefstädter Straße
- Thaliastraße
If you’d like to choose your nightlife spots in advance for your trip, you can use this list (though we always encourage heading to one of the areas mentioned above and just going with the flow!).
