Lake Lünersee is just a few kilometers from the Swiss and Liechtenstein borders. The lake has a dam that was built for the hydroelectric power stations operating in this area. Around the lake, there are various hiking trails, mountain climbing routes, and also the possibility of fishing.

The Lünersee Circuit Trail
The popular trail around Lake Lünersee is designed for families with children and takes between an hour and a half to two hours. This is an easy trail that runs along the lake. The path is not suitable for strollers but is suitable for children of all ages.
Along the route, there are two huts offering food and drinks for refreshment. The huts’ names are:
- Douglass Hütte
- Alpe Lünersee

The Cable Car to the Summit
To reach the lake, you need to take the cable car located at the foot of the mountains. The cable car is enclosed, and the ride is short.
Lünerseebahn Operating Hours:
- Dates: May 24th to October 19th
- Ascent: Every quarter of an hour from 8:00 AM to 4:55 PM.
- Descent: Every quarter of an hour from 8:10 AM to 5:00 PM.
