The Burgenland Animal Park Steppenpark opened to visitors in 1975 and covers an area of 13 hectares with 50 species of animals. Some of the animals in the park roam freely and can be seen up close. Some of the animals in the park are: buffalo, wolves, horses, wild boars, mountain cattle, goats, sheep, donkeys, lynx, and more.
Feeding the animals is definitely allowed! You can purchase bags of food at the entrance and feed the various animals throughout the park. The animals come very close to the visitors, so you can even feed some of them by hand.
The park itself is pleasant and beautiful with lots of vegetation and well-maintained paths in the heart of nature.
