The Salzburg Rope Park (Kletterpark Waldbad Anif) is located in the forest near the village of Anif on the outskirts of Salzburg. It is considered the safest and most beautiful rope park in the Salzburg area. The park is situated in a wonderful natural area, right next to a natural swimming lake with options for wakeboarding and swimming. The attractions in the park are suitable for children of all ages, and adults will also enjoy the challenging rope courses.

This is what the Anif Rope Park looks like

What can you do at the Anif Rope Park?

The main activity in the park is, of course, the rope courses. There are 12 courses of varying difficulty levels and heights – from 2 meters up to 13 meters, right at the treetops.

You start the activity in the park on the training courses (there are three training courses at a height of one meter). There, the park’s experienced instructors will explain the safety system and how to use it correctly along the different courses.

Courses for Toddlers:

For children from the age of 3, there is a dedicated area with easy rope courses at a height of one meter.

Beginner Courses:

  1. Rainberg
  2. Heuberg
  3. Gaisberg
  4. Schlenken

These courses are at heights of 3 to 5 meters and include rope bridges and wooden structures that will test your balance.

Advanced Courses:

  1. Schober
  2. Staufen

On these courses, you will start to feel the challenge and maybe even fear. These courses are at heights of 4 to 8 meters. They include challenging obstacles like aerial skateboarding and the intersecting logs barrier.

Expert Courses:

  1. Untersberg
  2. Watzmann

If you feel ready and in good shape, you can try the most difficult courses in the park. At a height of 13 meters, you will test not only your courage but also your muscles. Try to balance yourself on thin wire ropes and climb between the various wooden structures.

Flying Fox – The Zip Line Course

After you’ve finished the fun rope courses, you can complete your visit to the park on the zip line. The zip line course is 300 meters long and passes over the park complex and the natural swimming lake. The course starts from a height of 20 meters, and along it, you will reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. Suitable for children over 40 kg and adults up to 100 kg.

The Anif Swimming Lake

As part of the entrance ticket to the rope park, you can also enter the natural swimming lake located nearby. It’s definitely a nice place to cool off on hot summer days. If you’re in the mood for another adrenaline-filled activity, you can try the wakeboarding course that operates in this complex.

Additional Essential Information for Your Visit

Opening Hours:

Starting from May and throughout the summer period. In the summer months, it is open every day; in other months, only on weekends. In July and August, it is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (off-season until 5:00 PM).

You should check the rope park’s website in case there are any changes to the opening hours. Park Schedule

How to get to Anif Park?

By Car: From Salzburg city, take the Salzburg Süd exit towards Anif, and at the first traffic light, turn right towards Hallein. After driving for one kilometer, you will reach the Maximarkt roundabout, where you should take the second exit towards Waldbad. After another 500 meters of driving through the forest, you will reach the parking lot belonging to the swimming pool complex. From there, after you have parked, you should follow the signs to the rope park.

By Bus: Postbus line 170 goes to the Maximarkt roundabout. From there, you will have to walk about one kilometer through the forest to the swimming pool parking lot. From there, continue following the signs to the rope course complex.
