Recommended Accommodations in the Lake District

The Lake District is packed with charming accommodations, some modern and some more rustic and traditional. There are a few important things to know that will make it easier for you to choose an excellent place to stay:

  1. Even older places will be of good standard The Austrian hospitality standard is undoubtedly one of the best in the world. Even older accommodations will be well-maintained, clean, and furnished with quality wooden furniture. You can always count on that.
  2. Air conditioning is definitely not a must In the Lake District, surrounded by the Alps, air conditioning is almost unnecessary. Most of the year it’s cool and in the evening, temperatures drop significantly, so you might even need a light jacket in the summer evenings. There’s no need to worry about booking a hotel or apartment without air conditioning. Even if there’s a heatwave, it usually only lasts a few days, and then rain comes, bringing the temperatures down.
  3. There’s a wide variety of accommodations Even if the recommended places on the list below are not available, you can use the search engine to find other places that are just as good. Don’t worry!

Now we can move on to the details of the most recommended places!
