The animal sanctuary at Gut Aiderbichl was established in 2000 by Michael Aufhauser and has since become a remarkable success.
On the estate, the animals receive exceptional care and live happily in spacious, open environments. The grounds are home to around 1,000 animals, some of which roam freely among visitors, creating a truly unique and memorable experience. The estate features extensive horse stables, as well as dedicated habitats for rabbits, geese, chickens, and ducks. There are also specially designed living areas for foxes, deer, cows, goats, sheep, ponies, donkeys, and many other animals.
All animals benefit from excellent living conditions: some roam freely across the vast open areas of the estate, while others are kept in enclosed—but generously sized and carefully maintained—habitats.
The animals on the estate once lived in suffering and fear, but today they look truly happy!
