The amusement park in Kaprun is located right in the heart of Kaprun, unlike most amusement parks in the Alps, which are often at high altitudes requiring a cable car ride. Because of this, you don’t have to pay a lot for a cable car ride and can simply focus on an experiential outing for the whole family.
In fact, admission to the amusement park is free! You only need to pay if you want to ride the alpine coaster.
If you are a nature and hiking lover, you can start a variety of easy hiking trails from the amusement park area and walk up to the top of the hill. There you will enjoy wonderful views and may also encounter wild animals roaming this area.
Maisi Flitzer Alpine Coaster – General Information
Whether it’s raining and snowing or the sun is shining brightly, one thing is for sure – the thrilling alpine coaster in Kaprun is waiting for you!
After you settle comfortably in your seat and fasten your seatbelts, you will slowly begin to ascend towards the top of the hill. The length of the uphill journey is about 750 meters, and you will have enough time to ponder whether you are ready for what will happen in a few moments. At the top of the hill, the real fun begins, as in an instant, you will start to slide down at a dizzying speed.
The downhill track is 1.3 kilometers long and includes twists, sharp turns, jumps, and fun loops at a height of 11 meters in the air. If you’re not afraid, you can even reach a speed of 40 km/h on the way down.
The alpine coaster is suitable for everyone! Even children from the age of 3 can ride it, accompanied by an adult, of course. Throughout the descent, you can control the sliding speed using the brakes. In addition, the modern sleds have an electronic grip mechanism, seats with back support, and seat belts to ensure maximum enjoyment without unnecessary risks.
