Air Conditioned Hotels in Vienna | 20 Hotels for Summer

Planning to visit Vienna during the hot summer days? Unlike other places, Vienna isn't fully prepared for hot weather, and most places lack air conditioning. Therefore, it's wise to be prepared and book a hotel with air conditioning. We've compiled a list of recommended hotels that have A/C and are in excellent locations for touring the city.

Hotels with air conditioning in Vienna are slowly becoming a must-have for a summer trip. During the hot summer months (June, July, and August), temperatures can reach 35 degrees Celsius (for several days or weeks). Since it’s impossible to predict whether you’ll arrive in Vienna during a heatwave or when the weather is pleasant, it’s better to book an air-conditioned hotel if you’re planning a visit during these hot months.

In the city center, due to the many buildings and few green areas, the heavy heat can be quite unpleasant. The heat that accumulates during the day often lingers through the night, leading to very warm nights. To ensure you have an enjoyable trip, and especially a pleasant night’s sleep, we’ve gathered a list of recommended hotels with air conditioning in Vienna. This list is an expansion of our comprehensive article on recommended hotels in Vienna and the surrounding area.

Of course, keep in mind that air-conditioned hotels will be more expensive during the summer months as there aren’t many such hotels in the city. However, other hotels that don’t have a central air conditioning system might offer portable air conditioners or fans, so it’s worth asking the hotel in advance if you’re unsure.

In the list below, we have compiled 20 hotels that are definitely air-conditioned. These are also central hotels with excellent quality for a pampering trip!
