Across Austria, there are about 12 casinos operated by Casinos Austria. Even though Vienna is the largest city in the country, home to about a quarter of Austria’s population, it only has one casino.

Casino Wien is located right in the heart of the Old City, in Vienna’s 1st district, just a few steps from the city’s main cathedral. If you’ve decided to include Casino Wien in your travel itinerary, this article will tell you everything you need to know before arriving for a gambling and classic vacation in Vienna. Please note that Vienna does not have hotels with casinos inside them, but there are many excellent hotels within a short walking distance of the city’s casino.

Please note: Vienna is not a gambling city, so if you’re expecting a casino on the level of other big cities, you might be disappointed.

Casino Wien – Everything You Need to Know for a Successful Visit

Casino Wien is housed in the ancient Esterházy Palace, combining the city’s classic atmosphere with a top-tier casino experience. The casino building includes four floors with various gaming options, slot machines, a restaurant, and a bar. You can play Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, or try your luck at the various slot machines.

The entrance level is dedicated to slot machines, while on the upper three floors, you can admire the beautiful classic halls alongside professional casino tables. There are also VIP rooms for those who want to gamble with more privacy.

Besides gambling, you can also enjoy top-quality meals at the casino’s award-winning restaurant, Cuisino. The restaurant serves typical Austrian dishes with international touches. You can view the menu at this link: (in German).
