Entry to the casino and its restaurant is only permitted for those aged 18 and over, upon presentation of an identification document. You must bring a passport or any other official ID. Please note: passport photocopies might be problematic at the entrance. As part of local law, everyone entering the casino must register, so you will need to present the required details before entering the casino.
Is There an Entrance Fee?
Basically, entry to Casino Wien is free. At the reception, they will offer you a discounted welcome package of chips or gaming cards for the machines, worth €30 for a cost of €27. These chips cannot be exchanged (only if you play can you receive chips that you can convert to cash at the end of your visit).
What is the Dress Code for Entering the Casino?
To enter the casino, you must wear appropriate, clean, and tidy clothing. The casino management requires a smart casual style. This means that for men, button-down shirts, polo shirts, jackets, respectable denim trousers, and clean sneakers are welcome. Women are expected to come in a skirt, dress, or elegant attire.
You will not be allowed to enter with shorts, flip-flops, sports pants, or tracksuits of any kind.
Coats, hats, and any other clothing item not required for your stay in the casino can be left at the entrance for safekeeping.

Is Smoking Allowed in the Gaming Halls?
According to the smoking ban law issued in 2019, smoking is strictly prohibited in all parts of the building. You will have to smoke outside if you wish.
