What Makes Austria an Attractive Travel Destination?

Austria is located between a 3.5 to 4-hour flight from Israel. The relatively short flight duration makes it an ideal destination, especially for families with small children who don’t want to endure long and exhausting flights. In addition, Austria is the heart of Europe; it is surrounded on all sides by other countries, some of which offer good options for landing and transferring to recommended travel areas without traveling for many hours.

Travelers in Austria usually focus on 4 fantastic regions: Vienna, Salzburg, Tyrol, and Carinthia. These areas are rich in attractions for all ages, impressive natural sites, and breathtaking landscapes. Sometimes the journey from the airport to the main accommodation areas takes a few hours, but you can use this time to see great attractions along the way. We will elaborate on this later.

Where to Find Good and Cheap Flights?

Without a doubt, the cheapest way is to book through flight search websites or directly with airlines. Nowadays, there’s no problem at all booking a flight online, and there’s no real need for a travel agent (unless it’s a complex itinerary).

It’s a good idea to compare flight prices on comparison websites and then check directly on the website of your chosen airline to see if the ticket prices are better or the same. It’s advisable to buy directly from the airline.

For flight searches, it’s worth checking these websites:

  • Kiwi  allows you to search simultaneously across all airports in Austria (or close to it).
  • Skyscanner  because it’s quite convenient and has a good search function.
  • Google Flights  a simple and clear search engine.

Kiwi KIWI

A very impressive search engine with a variety of filtering options and the ability to add multiple airports. At the end of the search, you can easily see all flights and prices on a clear map. Definitely convenient and reliable.

Click on this link here to search simultaneously for all 7 airports  in Austria and its vicinity…

After finding a flight there, you can book directly through it (Kiwi is an online travel agent – OTA). Or, it’s better to go back to another price comparison site like Google Flights to do a final search and then proceed to the airline’s website for booking at a cheaper price.
