The Niedersulz Open-Air Museum (Museumsdorf Niedersulz) was established in 1979 and is the largest open-air museum in the state of Lower Austria. The museum showcases the daily lives of the villagers in the region. There are about 80 ancient buildings from various periods over the last 200 years. The museum’s buildings include farmhouses, workshops, chapels, barns, an inn, a school, wine presses, and more.
The colorful gardens of the buildings are especially beautiful to see. The flower gardens, herb gardens, and vegetable gardens are full of vegetation typical of this region.
