The town of Wagrain is located in the St. Johann im Pongau district. The town is ancient, dating back to the 13th century. For skiers, the town is an ideal location as it is situated in a valley surrounded by ski resorts that are part of the huge ski area – Ski Amadé. During the summer months, several cable cars provide easy access to the mountain peaks, where you can go hiking or mountain biking.

Wagrain’s Water World
Inside the town, there is a fun water park that is especially suitable for hot summer days. The place is called Wasserwelt Amadé or Erlebnisbad Wasserwelt Wagrain (don’t confuse it with Spa Amadé, which is a 15-minute drive from the water park). The park has several fun areas with indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a sauna and relaxation world:
The Indoor Pool Complex
On rainy or snowy days, or if you just don’t want to be in the hot sun, you can spend time in the park’s indoor complex. This area includes relaxation pools with massage jets for all parts of the body, a shallow pool for small children, and two water slides. In addition, there are lounge chairs for resting by the pool.
The Outdoor Pool Complex
The outdoor part of the park covers an area of 1,000 square meters. It includes a pool with 4 different slides, a shallow water area for young children, the “sinking boat,” and more. There are also seating areas and sunbeds around the pool and a restaurant for visitors’ convenience. If you get tired of being in the water, children can play in the playground adjacent to the pool, which has a variety of fun equipment.
Saunas
The sauna complex is divided into a family area where children are also allowed. This section has two saunas and outdoor seating areas. The other part of the complex is suitable for adults, and entry is without clothing. This section has 5 saunas at different temperatures, both dry and wet. There are also quiet rooms for relaxation with a panoramic view of the area, a cold water pool, and a terrace.
If you wish, there is also the option for massages and beauty treatments at an additional cost.
