Therme Amadé is located near the village of Flachau, a recommended base for exploring the Salzburg region, and is considered one of Austria’s finest spa complexes. (Tip: If you’re visiting Tyrol, don’t miss the stunning Aqua Dome Spa in the Ötz Valley.) As you relax in the warm waters, you can take in magnificent mountain views through the spa’s large glass windows.
The spa complex offers a wonderful combination of rest and relaxation with fun and thrills for the children. You can easily spend several hours here without noticing how time flies.
The complex is divided into several areas: the pool area, the water slide area, the sauna world, and the relaxation and wellness area.
This is what Amadé Spa looks like
The Pool Area
The pool area features 11 different pools, including both heated indoor pools and outdoor pools at regular temperatures. Several offer relaxing water jets and mineral- and salt-rich waters designed to promote well-being. There is also a shallow toddlers’ pool with a small water slide, a standard lap pool, a wave pool, and a diving pool.
The large swimming pool also has an exciting climbing wall. No need to be tied up; you just climb, and if you fall, you simply fall into the water.
The Water Slide Area
In the water slide area, there are 3 water slides:
The Black Mamba: A 50-meter-long slide (blue in color). Suitable for children aged 8 and up.
The Python: A 100-meter-long slide (yellow in color). Suitable for children aged 10 and up.
The Anaconda: A unique slide in Austria. You start the slide standing, and after the floor opens, you drop in a free fall of 8 meters and continue sliding at a dizzying speed. The experience takes about 10 seconds, but it is definitely especially exciting.
The Sauna World
The spa’s large sauna complex includes 5 different saunas, a hammam, and a steam bath. Additionally, the complex has several small pools, some hot and some cold, for refreshing after the sauna. After enjoying the saunas, you can sit and rest in the quiet rooms and enjoy the wonderful mountain view. It is important to remember that entry to the saunas is without clothes; you will receive a thin towel with which you can cover yourself while sitting in the saunas.
The Relaxation and Wellness Area
The spa’s professional staff offer a wide range of relaxing treatments, including various massages and private treatments in the hammam.
Of course, if you spend several hours at the spa, you might get hungry, but don’t worry, there is a restaurant and a bar on site where you can buy food and drinks to your heart’s content.
