Cumberland Wildlife Park Grünau
The Cumberland Wildlife Park Grünau was established by the Cumberland Foundation in the 1970s with the aim of offering a unique nature experience against the backdrop of the spectacular Alpine scenery. The park was built on a large area of 60 hectares, and many animals typical of this region were transferred to it. It quickly became one of the most popular attractions in the state of Upper Austria.
The park is home to animals such as brown bears, wolves, bison, red deer, geese, wild boars, lynx, and more. You can view the park map and its animals here.
The park’s paths are properly paved, so it is possible to tour it with a stroller or wheelchair if needed. The paths wind through forests and large meadows, and along them, you can observe the diverse animals of the park. Additionally, the park has cafes and restaurants for the convenience of visitors, as well as an adventure playground for children.
The park also operates during the winter months and is beautifully maintained to allow for a pleasant and enjoyable visit even when the area is snowy.
