It’s no secret that Primark is one of the most beloved stores for Israeli travelers. For many, it’s a wonderful experience during an overseas trip. Fortunately, on the outskirts of Vienna, there are two excellent Primark stores. In this article, you’ll read about the two shopping centers where Primark stores are located (and many other excellent shopping options).
Additionally, we’ve included a recommendation for another Primark store that recently opened and can be perfectly integrated into a day trip outside Vienna, which is also open on Sundays when all stores in Vienna are closed.
1. Shopping City Süd (SCS)
The most recommended shopping complex. Located 5 kilometers outside the city.
A huge shopping city (Wiener Neudorf) is located south of Vienna, between two small villages called Vösendorf and Wiener Neudorf. It’s the largest in Austria! The complex covers a huge area of 173,000 square meters (prepare comfortable shoes for extensive walking) and includes over 330 stores, restaurants, and cafes (prepare your wallet and savings…). The complex is covered and very comfortable. On rainy and cold days, and especially on weekends, thousands of people come here for a truly indulgent shopping spree. Among the stores you can find there are:

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The shopping center is closed on the following dates: October 26, November 1, December 25, December 26. Shortened opening hours (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM): December 24, December 31.
How to Get to Shopping City Süd (SCS)?
There are several ways to reach the Southern Shopping City by public transport, so you don’t need to take a taxi or Uber and pay a lot of money. It’s advisable to plan at least an hour for the journey from the city center to the shopping city.
1. Getting There by Train:
- Badner Bahn – A train that departs from the heart of Vienna, from Karlsplatz square near the Opera House, and arrives directly at Shopping City Süd (after 22 stations). The train journey takes about 40 minutes. You should get off at the Vösendorf SCS station. The cost of a ticket is 4.30 Euros one way (for an adult). 2. Getting There by Bus:
There are several bus lines departing from the final stop of the U6 subway line (the brown line). You need to travel to the final stop of this line called Siebenhirten and from there take the following lines:
- Bus line 207 by Dr. Richard company. Stops at several stations in Shopping City Süd. You can get off at SCS Ikea.
- Bus line 265 by ÖBB Postbus company. Stops at SCS Hotel Pyramide.
- SCS Mall Shuttle Bus: From the same U6 subway station (Siebenhirten station), there is an SCS mall shuttle directly to Shopping City Süd. The line operates every day the mall is open and departs every half hour on weekdays and every fifteen minutes on Saturdays. Cost (for those without a VIP card): 1 Euro per adult. Children under 16 travel for free. Shuttle timetable to the mall.

2. G3 Shopping Resort
The Northern shopping city of Vienna. There is a Primark in this complex. Located about 10 kilometers outside the city.
This shopping complex is the fifth largest in Austria and has about 180 international brand stores as well as local shops and restaurants. The complex is located near the village of Gerasdorf bei Wien, which is a short distance from the city. You can find stores in the complex such as:
- Primark
- Peek & Cloppenburg
- H&M
- Mango
- Northland
- Orsay

- Thursday – Friday: 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM

How to Get to G3 Shopping Resort?
This shopping center operates a free shuttle every day from North Vienna directly to the mall entrance. The bus departs from the last subway station of the U6 line (the brown line). The station is called Floridsdorf. Outside the station, opposite the Billa supermarket chain branch, there is a pick-up and drop-off point for the free shuttle.
The bus operates Monday to Thursday every half hour (8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, etc.). On Fridays, it departs every 20 minutes, and on Saturdays, every 15 minutes.

3. Primark Bratislava at Eurovea Mall – Also Open on Sundays
Primark’s flagship store in Slovakia. Central Bratislava. Located about 60 kilometers outside Vienna.
Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is about an hour’s train ride from Vienna. The city itself is very charming, with a historic center and many shopping opportunities that are also open on Sundays when stores in Vienna are closed. Please note: You must carry your passport for crossing between countries. Sometimes there are checks on the return journey from Bratislava to Vienna.
Primark Bratislava opened less than a year ago and is the first store of the chain in Slovakia. This branch is large and spans two floors in the heart of the mall, which is considered one of the most popular and largest in Bratislava.
Opening Hours:
- Open every day of the week from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Please note that the mall is closed on Christian and national holidays.
