It’s no secret that Primark is one of the most beloved stores for Israeli travelers. For many, it’s a wonderful experience during an overseas trip. Fortunately, on the outskirts of Vienna, there are two excellent Primark stores. In this article, you’ll read about the two shopping centers where Primark stores are located (and many other excellent shopping options).

Additionally, we’ve included a recommendation for another Primark store that recently opened and can be perfectly integrated into a day trip outside Vienna, which is also open on Sundays when all stores in Vienna are closed.

1. Shopping City Süd (SCS)

The most recommended shopping complex. Located 5 kilometers outside the city.

A huge shopping city (Wiener Neudorf) is located south of Vienna, between two small villages called Vösendorf and Wiener Neudorf. It’s the largest in Austria! The complex covers a huge area of 173,000 square meters (prepare comfortable shoes for extensive walking) and includes over 330 stores, restaurants, and cafes (prepare your wallet and savings…). The complex is covered and very comfortable. On rainy and cold days, and especially on weekends, thousands of people come here for a truly indulgent shopping spree. Among the stores you can find there are:

  • Primark
  • Peek&Cloppenburg
  • Michael Kors
  • Mango
  • Intimissimi
  • Humanic
  • Rituals
  • Thomas Sabo

And many other stores! You can find the full list of stores here.

Opening Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

The shopping center is closed on the following dates: October 26, November 1, December 25, December 26. Shortened opening hours (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM): December 24, December 31.

How to Get to Shopping City Süd (SCS)?

There are several ways to reach the Southern Shopping City by public transport, so you don’t need to take a taxi or Uber and pay a lot of money. It’s advisable to plan at least an hour for the journey from the city center to the shopping city.

1. Getting There by Train:

  • Badner Bahn – A train that departs from the heart of Vienna, from Karlsplatz square near the Opera House, and arrives directly at Shopping City Süd (after 22 stations). The train journey takes about 40 minutes. You should get off at the Vösendorf SCS station. The cost of a ticket is 4.30 Euros one way (for an adult). You can download the list of stations and timetable here.

2. Getting There by Bus:

There are several bus lines departing from the final stop of the U6 subway line (the brown line). You need to travel to the final stop of this line called Siebenhirten and from there take the following lines:

  • Bus line 207 by Dr. Richard company. Stops at several stations in Shopping City Süd. You can get off at SCS Ikea.
  • Bus line 265 by ÖBB Postbus company. Stops at SCS Hotel Pyramide.
  • SCS Mall Shuttle Bus: From the same U6 subway station (Siebenhirten station), there is an SCS mall shuttle directly to Shopping City Süd. The line operates every day the mall is open and departs every half hour on weekdays and every fifteen minutes on Saturdays. Cost (for those without a VIP card): 1 Euro per adult. Children under 16 travel for free. Shuttle timetable to the mall.

Address of Shopping City Süd: Vösendorfer Südring, 2334 Vösendorf

The city itself is very charming, with a historic center and many shopping opportunities that are also open on Sundays when stores in Vienna are closed. Please note: You must carry your passport for crossing between countries. Sometimes there are checks on the return journey from Bratislava to Vienna.
