The Pyramidenkogel observation tower was built in 2013 on a small hill south of Lake Wörthersee. The tower is 100 meters high. The structure itself is made of huge wooden beams, making it the tallest wooden observation tower in the world. The structure has 3 platforms from which you can look out over the beautiful Lake Wörthersee, the small lakes adjacent to it, and the green spaces that surround it. At the top, there is also a restaurant called ‘Sky Box’, whose walls are all made of glass, allowing you to look out over the entire area while you eat.
To get to the top of the observation tower, you can either climb 441 stairs on foot or take the panoramic elevator directly to the top observation deck.
In the middle of the observation tower, at a height of 52 meters, there is a 120-meter-long spiral slide, which is considered the highest enclosed slide in Europe. This is a very fun way to get back down after enjoying the wonderful view. To slide, you need to sit on a thin mat that allows you to slide at a speed of 25 km/h! The descent takes about 20 seconds and is a great experience.

Restaurant and Playground
On the ground floor of the tower, there is a restaurant that serves local and international dishes, and next to it is the ticket office for going up the tower. Outside the building, there is a large playground for children. The playground has climbing frames with a slide, several swings, and a play area for toddlers.
Fly100 Zipline Course
During the summer, there is another experience for visitors to the observation tower – a particularly high zipline course. The course, which is about 100 meters long, is suspended 70 meters in the air. When you go down the zipline, you can enjoy not only the ride itself but also the wonderful view – two for the price of one!
