For thousands of years, the Wörschachbach river seeped deep into the mountains and slowly but surely carved its way through the mighty rocks until the long, narrow Wörschachklamm canyon was formed along the river. In the 19th century, the canyon was used by merchants who transported wood and coal for a small power station that operated in the area. The narrow and steep passage was particularly difficult and dangerous, so the merchants’ passage ceased not long after.
To allow for a comfortable and safe passage, wooden bridges were built along the high rock walls with great effort. The trail is easy to walk, but it requires climbing stairs along the way. It is also suitable for children, but it is not possible to tour the canyon with a stroller.

From May to October, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Entrance Fee:
- Adult: €8
- Child: €5.50
- Free entry for holders of the Styria Card (Steiermark-Card).

There is parking about a 10-minute walk from the entrance to the canyon.
