Therme Laa is the main attraction of the small town of Laa an der Thaya. This town is located in the state of Lower Austria, not far from the border with the Czech Republic. The town is surrounded by fields and is quiet and calm—a great place to relax a bit from bustling Vienna. About 7,000 residents live here.
Interesting to know: Before World War II, several Jewish families lived in the town and were taken to Auschwitz during the war. In 2005, a memorial was erected in the town for the 33 Jewish families who lived there. This is the second official monument erected in Austria in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

The spa complex is part of a luxury hotel belonging to the VAMED Vitality World spa chain, which operates the most luxurious spa complexes in Austria. Although it is part of the hotel, you can enter the spa during the day without booking a room. For more information on the hotel, visit Booking.com.
The spa is divided into two areas: the water and sauna world, which is suitable for the whole family, and the Silent Spa, which is suitable for adults only.
In the regular spa area, there are several thermal water pools (up to 36 degrees Celsius) rich in salts and minerals. Some of the pools are located inside the covered structure, and some are in the open air. There is also a children’s area with a nice water slide and the option to leave the children for an experiential activity with professional instructors while you relax in the pleasant water. Besides the pools, there is a sauna complex that includes 5 saunas with different heat and humidity levels.

The Silent Spa
The unique experience at the spa complex is called the “Silent Spa.” This is a separate and isolated area suitable for adults only (from the age of 16 and up). The place is wonderfully designed in an oriental style and is divided into several areas. In its center, there is a heated pool surrounded by several rooms with beds for resting and various sauna rooms. Throughout your stay, you can freely take mini-snacks like dried fruits and cakes, as well as drink hot tea.
In the Silent Spa area, there is no talking, and it is forbidden to make noise. It is a great place for true relaxation.
