Recommended Attractions in Flachau
After reviewing recommended accommodation, we can now focus on the wonderful activities in this area. Below are several enjoyable attractions you can experience in Flachau. Of course, there are many other activities in the area, including nature trails, cycling, and more.
1. The Mountain Coaster (Rodelbahn Lucky Flitzer)
While this coaster might not be the longest or fastest in Austria, it’s definitely fun and safe. The moment you sit in the chair and buckle your seatbelt, you’ll automatically start ascending to the top of the hill. From there, the fast descent back into the valley begins.
The track is winding and includes sharp turns, high-altitude curves, a wavy section, and a few jumps. The entire track spans 1.1 kilometers, and you can reach speeds of up to 42 km/h. Of course, you’ll experience maximum safety with the large seats that include backrests, seatbelts, and an advanced gripping system that prevents overturning.
The mountain coaster is suitable for children aged 3 and up (with an accompanying adult, of course), and children aged 8 and over 1.25 meters tall can ride alone. The total descent time is between 3-4 minutes. Unlike other coasters in the area, this one operates in both summer and winter.

Payment for the amusement park is separate from the mountain coaster. You need to purchase tokens costing 2 Euro to use the various facilities. For the Segway, there’s a separate payment based on the ride time.

3. Zorbing – Rolling Inside a Giant Ball
Love ball games? Now you can experience it from the ball’s point of view. Zorbing is a rather strange and a bit crazy attraction where you get into a giant plastic ball and roll quickly down a hill. The attraction is suitable for children at least 1.30 meters tall. It’s worth noting that sitting inside the ball can cause nausea and dizziness.
To reach the zorbing location, you need to enter the coordinates: “47°21’35.989″ N 13°23’21.626” E
